John was educated at Southampton University and Cardiff Metropolitan University and is a BBC television and radio sports presenter. During his career, he has presented Olympic Games, football and rugby World Cups, Wimbledon Championships, Open Championships, plus numerous other major sporting events both at home and abroad including the Ryder Cup, World Athletics Championships, Grand Nationals and Cheltenham Festivals, Champions League and FA Cup Finals
